Piriápolis and Punta del Este

April 10, 2008

Sunday I went with a friend to Piriapolis and Punta del Este just for the day. In both towns we went to the marina. In Piriápolis we went to the top of the hill and had lunch at a restaurant with a great view over the coast. In Punta del Este we just had a cold drink in the marina. The season for those towns recently ended, so there weren’t that many people. Both towns had a pretty relaxed feel to them.

Here are some pictures from Piriápolis (the one of the beach is not Piriapolis, but closer to Montevideo) :

I have been in Montevideo for a while now, so it is about time that I now do a post about it. When I arrived to the city it was cloudy and rained for a few days. But since then it has been dry.Today it has been around 27 degrees and sunny.

The following picture was taken in Montevideo on the 6th of March: Montevideo

San Francisco

March 5, 2008

I spent about 5 days in San Francisco. One of the cool things I did was going to the Apple headquarters in Cupertino. I drove down there in a rented a Pontiac Solstice seen in one of the picture below. The sun was shining and the roof was down. The landscape on the way to Cupertino was pretty with green hills. A fun experience.

Infinite Loop

The next day got cloudy in the afternoon. In the picture of the car the Golden Gate bridge can be seen in the background. It is taken on the southern side of the bridge at an old fortification. I walked down to the waterfront where you could see Alcatraz Island and kite surfers next to the bridge.
